About The Position

Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced and collaborative Primary Care Physician, Pod Leader to provide comprehensive primary care services while leading an interdisciplinary care team. This role offers the opportunity to combine direct patient care with clinical leadership, supporting high-quality outcomes for a diverse patient population with a strong emphasis on geriatric and value-based care. As a Pod Leader, you will work closely with Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, improve patient outcomes, and foster a collaborative team environment. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from approximately $275,000 to $330,000 annually based on experience and the opportunity to play a key leadership role within an innovative healthcare organization.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Geriatrics.
  • Active and unrestricted state medical license.
  • Current DEA registration and applicable Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) certification.
  • Eligible for enrollment to provide services to Medicare and Medi-Cal participants.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of clinical experience in primary care.
  • Experience working within an Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) care model.
  • Experience leading or collaborating with Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs).

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification upon hire preferred; required within 180 days of hire if not already certified.
  • 2–5 years of experience in primary care with a focus on geriatric medicine.
