About The Position
Advanced Medical Solutions has an opportunity for a Primary Care Paramedic to join our Ground Ambulance Service in Inuvik, NT. Our Team responds to emergency calls for the town of Inuvik and provides patient transportation to/from the Access Air Ambulance Base in Inuvik. This is a 3–6-month relocation contract (extensions available if desired), ideal for an individual that is looking for growth opportunities as a PCP aspiring to develop a Career in Paramedicine and someone who wants to experience Life North of 60!
Requirements
- PCP Primary Care Paramedic
- HCP CPR Provider or BLS
- WHMIS
- Class 4 Driver’s License - (Must have)
- Drivers Abstract – in good standing
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (within 90 days)
- Current Medical & Immunization Records
Nice To Haves
- Emergency Vehicle Operator certification or equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
- Working as part of a team (with EMRs) to provide the highest and most effective patient care possible during all phases of the ground transport process and practices
- Assess the extent of injuries or illness of patients to determine emergency medical treatment required
- Responsible for the safe ambulance operations and transport of patients from remote areas to the Inuvik Regional Hospital
- Document and record nature of injuries and treatment provided
- Cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment, ambulance, base, and resupply of consumable equipment
