Primary Care Nurse Supervisor
About The Position
The HealthCare Connection (THCC) is seeking an experienced Primary Care Nurse Supervisor who enjoys developing people, strengthening clinical practice, and being actively engaged with the care team. This is a hands-on leadership role providing day-to-day supervision and support to Medical Assistants, LPNs, RNs, and other clinical support staff. Working closely with providers, and clinical leadership, the Nurse Supervisor helps create a safe, consistent, and collaborative clinical environment where staff are supported, patients receive high-quality care, and teams have the training and resources they need to succeed. This role combines clinical leadership with limited direct patient care, allowing you to remain connected to both your team and the patients we serve.
Requirements
- Active RN licensure in state of Ohio
- Associate's degree in nursing
- Five (5) years of clinical experience, two (2) years of which must be in a leadership capacity

- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Experience in FQHC, CHC, or other Primary Care setting
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop clinical staff through coaching, feedback, training, competency assessment, and ongoing performance support.
- Maintain a visible, hands-on presence in clinical areas, working alongside staff to reinforce best practices, build confidence, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate clinical staffing, schedules, and daily assignments to support appropriate coverage and continuity of patient care.
- Serve as a trusted clinical resource for staff and providers, supporting questions related to nursing practice, patient care, triage, and clinical concerns.
- Promote safe, consistent clinical practice through adherence to established protocols, nursing standards, infection-prevention practices, documentation requirements, and scope-of-practice guidelines.
- Partner with providers, Practice Managers, and clinical leaders to strengthen workflows, communication, patient safety, and the overall effectiveness of the care team.
- Support orientation, onboarding, continuing education, and competency development for clinical staff while contributing to quality-improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
- Provide limited direct patient care within the RN scope of practice, including triage, RN visits, patient education, care coordination, and clinical procedures.
- Model professionalism, sound clinical judgment, teamwork, accountability, and compassionate, patient-centered care.
