About The Position

This is an executive-level outpatient leadership opportunity that combines direct patient care with Medical Director responsibilities. The role is hybrid, structured as approximately 80% clinical and 20% administrative leadership. The Medical Director will have the opportunity to oversee approximately 15 providers while helping drive quality improvement and operational performance. This role involves close collaboration with executive leadership on documentation standards, workflow efficiency, and patient outcomes within a mission-driven healthcare environment serving underserved patient populations.

Requirements

  • Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics REQUIRED
  • Minimum 10 years clinical experience REQUIRED
  • Active West Virginia medical license REQUIRED or ability to obtain
  • Comfortable balancing clinical and administrative responsibilities REQUIRED
  • Strong quality improvement and workflow optimization mindset REQUIRED
  • Commitment to underserved and community-based care REQUIRED

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient primary care services within Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics scope.
  • Supervise advanced practice providers and support clinical operations.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership on operational efficiency and patient care standards.
  • Oversee substance use disorder program support initiatives.
  • Serve underserved patient populations with strong Medicaid presence.
