Priest Chaplain - Spiritual Care
About The Position
The Roman Catholic Priest Chaplain is an ordained priest granted faculties by the local Catholic Bishop. As an integral part of the Spiritual Care Department, he ministers to the religious, spiritual, and emotional needs of patients, families and staff of St. Jude Medical Center OR St. Joseph of Orange, placing special emphasis on the sacramental needs of Catholic patients. The priest chaplain reports to the Director of the Spiritual Care Department. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements
- Master's Degree in Theology/Spirituality/Pastoral Ministry.
- Coursework/Training: Completed (preferred) or in the process of completing 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education.
- Within 3 years of hire: National Chaplain Certification.

- Several years of pastoral experience following ordination.
