About The Position

The Pricing Coordinator is responsible for working closely with all Pricing associates, vendor partners, the Guest Service Manager, Store Directors, and Festival team members to ensure all company policies and procedures are followed. This role provides controlled processes and procedures to ensure department goals and objectives are met. The Pricing Coordinator reinforces Festival culture, customer service, and performance expectations for all pricing associates. They ensure consistent practices within the pricing software to support Festival Foods' price image, investigating and resolving inaccuracies with clear and honest feedback. This role involves maintaining adequate staff levels by interviewing applicants and extending job offers, and coaching and training new pricing associates on department policies and procedures, including SMS pricing software, pricing handhelds, and Nexgen 365. The Pricing Coordinator is an active participant in Performance and Development Summaries and annual goal setting for themselves and the pricing team. They communicate and collaborate with the Pricing Support Team to keep the pricing manual and sign program current, and finalize and approve weekly work schedules for pricing associates based on department needs. This role documents violations of company policies/procedures by pricing associates and conducts appropriate corrective action, up to and including termination. They hold department managers and vendors accountable for meeting pricing standards, working directly with department managers and Store Directors to ensure Standard Operating Plans are executed. The Pricing Coordinator reviews verification results weekly to identify gaps, addresses incorrect stocking issues with corresponding department managers, and communicates results to the Pricing Support Team. Additionally, they assist guests with finding items, address guest concerns, and resolve issues when guests are not satisfied. They use Boomerang Basics to coach and develop team members and prepare associates for advancement opportunities. The role also contributes to the overall cleanliness of the department and requires regular, timely attendance.

Requirements

  • High School Education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers and all personnel.
  • Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to handle situations.
  • Basic knowledge in computer functions and Microsoft Suite products; including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Reinforce Festival culture, customer service, and performance expectations to all pricing associates.
  • Provide consistent practices within the pricing software that supports Festival Foods price image. Investigate and resolve inaccuracies; respond with clear and honest feedback.
  • Maintain adequate staff levels by interviewing applicants and extending job offers when necessary.
  • Coach and train all new pricing associates on the policies and procedures pertaining to the execution of department standards. This includes, but is not limited to, SMS pricing software, pricing handhelds and Nexgen 365.
  • Be an active participant in Performance and Development Summary and annual goal setting for yourself and members of the pricing team.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Pricing Support Team to keep the pricing manual and sign program current.
  • Finalize and approve weekly work schedule for pricing associates Write and execute weekly department schedule based on department needs. Annual weekly hours will be supplied by the business.
  • Document violations of company policies/procedures by pricing associates and conduct appropriate corrective action, up to and including termination.
  • Hold department managers and vendors accountable for meeting pricing standards within your store. Work directly with department manager and Store Director to ensure Standard Operating Plans are being executed.
  • Review verification results on a weekly basis to determine where gaps may exist. Address any incorrect stocking issues with corresponding department manager. Communicate results to Pricing Support Team.
  • Assist guests with finding items they are looking for while on the sales floor.
  • Address guest concerns and resolve issues when a guest is not satisfied.
  • Use the Boomerang Basics to coach and develop all team members, and to prepare associates for advancement opportunities.
  • Contribute to overall cleanliness of the department by picking up, organizing, and cleaning work areas.
  • Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
