Ferring+You As a Pricing & Contract Specialist, you will support and execute pricing strategies that maximize the commercial value of current and future products. Partnering closely with Global Market Access, Commercial, Finance, Sales Operations, Legal, Procurement, and Global stakeholders, you will drive pricing governance, gross-to-net performance, and market-driven pricing decisions, while leading complex cross-functional processes related to product launches, pricing, tendering, and contracting activities. Working independently, you will provide strategic recommendations based on market, pricing, and reimbursement insights and ensure compliance through PMPRB monitoring and B2B contract management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (e.g., Master’s or MBA) preferred.
  • Advanced pricing knowledge typically gained through progressive experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or life sciences. (1-3 yrs experience)
  • Experience working with global or regional teams is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical pricing and market access principles.
  • Experience with B2B pharma contracting will be highly valued
  • Independently manage complex projects and cross-functional processes with limited supervision.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of pricing, market access, contracting, and analytics to solve difficult and complex business problems.
  • Drive continuous improvement of pricing governance, contracting practices, forecasting methodologies, and analytical capabilities
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex and ambiguous challenges.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong attention to detail with a governance and compliance mindset.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead pricing and contracting activities associated, analytics, ensuring alignment with business objectives and governance requirements.
  • PLA management and PMPRB updates, documentation and escalation of pricing decisions, business case development, and support list / net price approval process (including private, public, hospital/GPO and B2B clinics).
  • Lead commercial evaluations, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations in partnership with Procurement, Legal, and business stakeholders, as appropriate.
  • Oversee contract administration and vendor performance to ensure delivery against agreed scope, timelines, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Design and implement appropriate analysis of listing agreements or deal (with pCPA, individual provinces, private payers, hospitals/GPO or other purchasers)
  • Develop comprehensive business cases, incorporating quantitative and qualitative data for all deals with payers.
  • Support internal Ferring approval efforts as well as analytics for external negotiations.
  • Well versed with IQVIA Pharmastat and similar analytics related data sources.
  • Leads forecasting revenue and volume impact of pricing and deal scenarios, including integrating impact of deals and incorporate into broader company forecasts
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of PMPRB regulation changes and is responsible for timely communication of implications on Ferring’s full portfolio and upcoming therapies to cross-functional teams.
  • Ensures pricing compliance by modelling expected full year ATPs for all PMPRB DINs and identifies apparent excess revenues and develop ATP management strategy for products at risk being outside of guidelines.
  • Conducts PMPRB post Form 2 compliance monitoring and reviews PMPRB compliance reports and reconciles any differences.
  • Investigate any apparent sub-threshold excess revenue arising from non-price increase issues
  • Manage projects and processes independently, exercising sound judgment in addressing complex business challenges and balancing commercial, operational, and strategic considerations.
