Pricing Analyst
About The Position
This role serves as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders concerning pricing inquiries for TL, Flatbed, Temperature Control, and intermodal transportation. The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and delivering pricing requests, which involves conducting historical pricing analysis, managing RFPs, RFIs, and quote proposals. Additionally, the role involves auto-rate collaboration with sales and operations branch leaders, customer contracting, and revenue accounting to ensure accurate utilization of contract rates, FSC, and accessorials within the TMS.
Requirements
- 3-7 years of Pricing/Carrier procurement experience in the transportation industry.
- Minimum 3 years of Truckload pricing experience on both the spot market basis as well as contract rates.
- Must be proficient with truckload pricing and capacity tools such as DAT.com, Truckstop.com.
- Ability to handle and process large data sets using Microsoft Excel including various formulas.
- Must have deep knowledge on the truckload supply and demand market for all equipment types including Dry Van, Temperature Controlled, and Flatbed.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience working with internal and external customers.
- Experience with or the desire to learn software applications like MS Excel/Access, Tableau, etc..
