About The Position

The Pricing Analyst supports the execution of pricing strategies at the distribution center (DC) level to help achieve company margin objectives and local go-to-market initiatives. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with strong analytical skills and an interest in pricing, finance, sales support, and business analytics. The Pricing Analyst will analyze pricing, sales, and margin data to identify opportunities for profitability improvement, support pricing decisions, and assist with the management of the Daily Sales Below Cost (DSBC) process. Working closely with Sales, Finance, Merchandising, and Operations teams, this individual will provide data-driven insights and recommendations that support customer growth while maintaining pricing integrity and margin performance. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to pricing strategy, commercial analytics, sales operations, and business decision-making within a fast-paced distribution environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Execute pricing strategies at the distribution center (DC) level to support company margin goals and local go-to-market initiatives.
  • Review and manage price deviations, pricing exceptions, Commission-Based Adjustments (CBAs), self-funded deviations, and price approvals for Territory Managers (TMs).
  • Respond to and resolve pricing inquiries escalated by Sales teams and internal business partners.
  • Analyze pricing, sales, cost, and margin data to develop pricing recommendations for customer bids and new customer acquisition opportunities.
  • Manage the Daily Sales Below Cost (DSBC) reporting process, identify margin improvement opportunities, and resolve costing discrepancies with key stakeholders.
  • Execute and maintain weekly promotional pricing for the designated distribution center.
  • Monitor market pricing and profitability trends, providing insights and recommendations to improve margins and pricing effectiveness.
  • Partner with District Sales Managers (DSMs) to audit and review ongoing self-funded deviations and pricing programs.
  • Utilize Merlin and other pricing tools to identify product, category, and revenue optimization opportunities and perform ad hoc pricing analyses.
  • Maintain vendor pricing exceptions, customer pricing rationale (CPR) documentation, and pricing records to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
