About The Position

The Pricing Analyst plays a critical role in the service parts supply chain by developing data-driven pricing strategies and cost models that ensure cost integrity and maximize profitability. This position combines technical manufacturing knowledge, financial analysis, and advanced data analytics to support low-volume automotive service environments. The role functions as a consultant to internal purchasing teams and external suppliers, providing clear justification for cost adjustments in a dynamic global market.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in pricing analysis, cost analysis, or financial analysis.
  • 2–5 years of experience in data analysis, including the ability to provide recommendations and solutions based on analytical findings.
  • Completed bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Strong experience in pricing, estimation, and finance, with the ability to link financial outcomes to operational decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • Experience with data analysis and data interpretation in a business or financial context.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed cost analysis and cost breakdowns for parts, tooling, and packaging.
  • Ability to analyze large and sometimes incomplete data sets to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to explain economic and pricing impacts clearly.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Motivated, self-starter mindset with long-term career aspirations and a desire for growth in the pricing or financial analysis career path.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Automotive cost analysis experience, particularly within service parts or manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of manufacturing environments and commodity cost drivers.
  • Familiarity with public market indices such as steel, plastic, and labor indices and how they influence cost structures.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools for data visualization and reporting.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to supplier sites or manufacturing facilities as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the validity of automotive supplier part pricing, tooling, packaging, and contract requests, with a specific focus on low-volume service requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and refine should-cost models and cost estimates that establish a baseline for negotiations and financial planning.
  • Calculate, document, and explain pricing adjustments driven by changes in manufacturing processes, volume fluctuations, and macroeconomic factors such as inflation.
  • Analyze large, complex, and sometimes incomplete data sets to identify trends, establish facts, and draw actionable conclusions that support pricing decisions.
  • Present, defend, and clearly communicate cost changes to internal and external stakeholders who may have differing priorities, ensuring transparency and alignment with financial objectives.
  • Leverage market intelligence by data mining public indices such as steel, plastic, and labor indexes to anticipate market shifts and their impact on the supply base.
  • Collaborate closely with purchasing, finance, and supplier teams to ensure pricing strategies align with broader business goals.
  • Use tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and SAP (if available) to build reports, dashboards, and analyses that support pricing and cost decisions.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations and solutions based on analytical findings to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Support occasional visits to supplier sites or manufacturing facilities to better understand cost drivers, manufacturing processes, and commodity impacts.
