About The Position

This position is responsible for sorting donations, pricing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and safe processing area. The role requires meeting production goals, staying informed about product knowledge and trends, and adhering to company policies and safety practices. The PRICER will also perform mark-downs, identify recalled items, and assist with moving merchandise. This role requires the ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 60 pounds, perform basic math, and work collaboratively with a team. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Requirements

  • Able to stand, bend, and reach.
  • Able to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move up to forty (60) pounds with no support regularly. Over forty (60) pounds request for additional team member assistance as needed.
  • Able to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects as required by job.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Regular attendance at the job, requiring teamwork and interaction with others.
  • Ability to work under general supervision.
  • Ability to develop, provide and maintain effective working relationships with team leader, team members, customers, and clients.
  • Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.
  • A high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Process donations within 24 hours, ensuring continuous flow of goods to the sales floor.
  • Sort donations into salable, salvage, and trash categories.
  • Place non-salable apparel, shoes, or handbags into salvage containers.
  • Dispose of other non-salable items (e.g., broken, non-functioning, wet items) into trash.
  • Meet and exceed production goals.
  • Price merchandise using the baseline price guide and special pricing for exceptional items.
  • Stay informed about brand names, merchandise knowledge, industry trends, and competitive pricing.
  • Maintain the processing area and equipment in a neat, clean, and operable condition.
  • Perform mark-downs in compliance with GGC policy.
  • Review and utilize Consumer Product Safety Commission recall bulletins to prevent unsafe items from being sold.
  • Follow good safety and security practices, including reporting safety hazards.
  • Attend in-service and related training as assigned.
  • Safely move wares totes to/off the sales floor (max four high; empty totes stacked at 15 high).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the TLC and/or ATL.
