Reporting to the Assistant Director of Engagement and Prevention, the Prevention Specialist is responsible for the implementation of research-based and effective primary prevention programs and initiatives focused on interpersonal violence (sexual assault, relationship abuse, stalking, and sexual harassment) for UNH-Durham undergraduate and graduate students. The Prevention Specialist facilitates a wide range of prevention programs on topics including consent, bystander intervention, and healthy relationships for both general student audiences and specific student groups and populations such as student leaders, Fraternity and Sorority Life, and student athletes. The Prevention Specialist also supervises and manages the education & engagement student employees and volunteers. The Prevention Specialist also contributes to the advocacy drop-in rotation within the SHARPP Center, providing direct services to individuals impacted by interpersonal violence as needed. This position requires self-scheduled evening and weekend commitments throughout the year.
