About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Prevention Specialist to join our team. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in psychology/Sociology or equivalent.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of participants/professionals in English and Spanish.
Ability to travel required within service area of Cameron and Willacy Counties.
Must have current TX driver’s license with current liability insurance.

Responsibilities

Conducts prevention education/skills training strategy by implementing the assigned curriculum at designated school sites and/or community sites as indicated by the curriculum developers.
Provide problem identification and referrals to other support services to youth participating in curriculum services.
Conducts information dissemination strategy by increasing knowledge and changing attitudes through engaging presentations for youth and adults.
Ability to network with diverse community partners.
Conducts positive alternatives in the form of fun, challenging, and structured activities to foster constructive and healthy ways to enjoy free time and learn skills among community of service.
