The Prevention Manager will be responsible for the supervision of staff leading prevention programs in the Newark site. This role involves providing comprehensive orientation to new staff, ensuring compliance with CDC and department of health grant protocols, and coordinating various prevention initiatives such as retreats and self-testing kit programs. The manager will also monitor HIV testing activities, provide technical assistance and capacity building for prevention programs, and develop social media campaigns. Collaboration with the Director of Prevention and Statewide CTR Manager is expected for developing protocols for PrEP awareness and community education. The role requires representing Hyacinth at various community and state-level events, implementing procedures for awareness day activities, and monitoring street and community outreach. Close work with Regional Service Managers is necessary to ensure staff engagement, responsiveness, and professional development. Fostering positive community relationships and evaluating program effectiveness are key. The position also involves ensuring data collection, maintaining confidentiality, preparing reports, and monitoring staff training completion. Specific duties include reviewing intervention assessments, reporting service gaps, monitoring social media outreach, conducting quality assurance, preparing various reports, auditing program supplies, and following guidelines for medical waste disposal and bloodborne pathogens. The manager will also monitor enhanced testing programs, community PROMISE implementation, and incentive programs. Representation and advocacy involve maintaining relationships with community providers, adhering to administrative procedures, providing reports and statistics, representing the agency at events, and adhering to Hyacinth policies, including client confidentiality.
