COMPASS provides services to all survivors of rape and sexual abuse and their loved ones in Stark, Tuscarawas, and Carroll Counties. Their programs include crisis intervention and advocacy, and education and prevention. We are seeking a full-time Sexual Assault Prevention Educator to work with school-age children, teens, and adults to educate them about sexual assault and rape to promote prevention and reporting. Our ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about the effects of sexual violence on the victim, the family, and the community. They will carry on our mission to promote the healing of individuals impacted by sexual violence and to create social change. This individual will also support and carry out our vision of a community where all people can live free of sexual violence. The Prevention Educator role is in place to help reduce the incidence of sexual violence by providing prevention education through age-appropriate programs and adult programs. The goal of the school-based curriculum is to increase knowledge of healthy behaviors, positively change beliefs, and strengthen students' abilities to prevent sexual violence. Our adult prevention education audiences may include college students, parents, and faith-based organizations. We will work with you to develop a presentation that meets your needs.
