The Culture, Experience and Community Health team at UVM Health is seeking a passionate and collaborative Prevention Coordinator to support community-wide efforts across the UVM Medical Center service area that promote health, strengthen protective factors, and prevent substance use and related behavioral health risks across the lifespan. In this role, you will design and implement programs that reduce risk factors and promote protective factors for youth and young adults, strengthening partnerships across Chittenden County. This position works closely alongside regional and local partners, including schools, healthcare providers, and community-based organizations. The Prevention Coordinator will facilitate upstream coalition and capacity-building activities within a comprehensive framework that complements downstream efforts of treatment, recovery, and harm reduction. This position supports priorities identified through the Community Health Needs Assessment and plays a key role in advancing evidence-based initiatives that advance heath equity. This is a hybrid role allowing for remote work and requiring an onsite presence at community events in the UVM Medical Center service area. The position is grant funded through 9/2030.
