About The Position

This role focuses on performing mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic troubleshooting. The individual will adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, repair or replace defective parts, and install special functional and structural parts in devices. The position involves testing device performance to ensure proper corrective action, operating metalworking tools to make and repair parts, and initiating purchase requisitions for parts and machines. The role also includes making adjustments and repairs on machinery, monitoring and recording changes, and completing preventative maintenance requirements. Collaboration with Process Technicians and Team Leaders is expected to resolve technical process problems during color, mold, and label changeovers. The individual will perform line changeover procedures, ensure successful startups, and make suggestions for improving procedures and reducing changeover time. Preparation of equipment and supplies for changeovers, including outfitting molds and repairing tooling, is also a key responsibility. The role requires adherence to housekeeping and safety procedures, attendance at training sessions and team meetings, and maintaining ISO standards with consistent data documentation in PICS/SAP. Reporting food safety issues and evaluating work areas for safety are crucial. The position requires effective communication skills and maintaining a clean and safe working environment, including sweeping and cleaning duties. All duties must be performed in accordance with safety rules and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Computer Skills; Microsoft office experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial systems (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic).
  • Knowledge of Robotics including servos & vision systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performs mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic troubleshooting.

  • Completes preventative maintenance requirements.
  • Helps maintain customer requirements according to specifications in bottle weights and various dimensions.
  • Works together with Process Technicians and Team Leaders to resolve technical process problems with color, mold and label changeovers.
  • Performs line changeover procedures and ensures correct completion and successful startups.
  • Makes suggestions to improve procedures and streamline processes to reduce changeover time.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies (molds, trim tooling, etc.) for changeovers, including outfitting molds and repairing tooling.
  • Follows correct housekeeping and safety procedures.
  • Attends all related training sessions and team meetings.
  • Responsible for maintaining ISO standards, including consistent data documentation in PICS/SAP.
  • Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Evaluates, and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.
  • Inspects work areas, and looks for unsafe acts/conditions.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
  • Performs sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
