About The Position
The Preventative Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing scheduled preventive maintenance services on all mechanical systems, equipment, and components. This role also involves repairing equipment and facilities as needed, maintaining preventive maintenance logs, and managing parts inventory. The technician will also cross-train other personnel in basic equipment inspection and perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Completion of trade school of the following trades: Tableting press preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
- Automatic or semi- automatic encapsulation machines preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
- Auger filler machine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ribbon Blenders, V-Blender preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
- HVAC Pneumatic controls
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance services on all mechanical systems equipment and components
- Repair equipment, as needed
- Perform facility repair, as needed
- Meet with Vendor/contractors at Allen & Plano locations for out sourced repairs
- Maintain preventive maintenance logs on all equipment and systems
- Pick up parts from Vendors/contractors
- Welding
- Replace worn components before mechanical breakdown occur
- Maintain and take periodic inventory parts, materials, and components
- Cross-train other personnel (custodial and maintenance) in visual and sound inspection of equipment to gain a timely reporting response to system trouble
- Perform other duties as requested
