The Preventative Maintenance Technician safely performs diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment. The role includes preventive maintenance on diesel and gasoline vehicles, including haul trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, and other vehicles, to support safe and productive operations. The technician also maintains a clean work environment, handles oil-sampling analyses, documents maintenance activities, and communicates with a supervisor. Requirements

• Three years of mechanical experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
• Dependability and punctuality.
• High level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, safely climb ladders, and regularly walk on uneven ground.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Safely diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on diesel and gasoline vehicles, including haul trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, and other vehicles.
• Collect and interpret oil-sampling analyses.
• Visually inspect equipment and machines.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Read and interpret equipment repair orders and communicate with a supervisor.
• Complete paperwork associated with preventive maintenance activities.
• Perform general systems maintenance.
• Perform other duties as required.
