About The Position

API Heat Transfer is hiring a second-shift Preventative Maintenance Technician to perform inspections and preventative maintenance on building and production machinery and equipment. Equipment includes compressors, pumps, motors, gear drives, welders, positioners, power rolls, cranes, hoists, manual and CNC machine tools, grinding machines, spray-painting systems, blasting equipment, presses, lighting systems, dust collectors, saws, conveyor systems, forklifts, and other lifting equipment.

The technician performs minor repairs, operational checks where qualified, and repairs pneumatic tools. The role may also assist other maintenance classifications, perform snow removal and apply salt or de-icer to parking areas and sidewalks, and cover facilities maintenance duties during absences. This is a second-shift position in a manufacturing setting.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Some experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to regularly climb and work from heights.
• Must have standard tools, such as wrenches, sockets, pliers, hammers, and screwdrivers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect building and production machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment, including compressors, pumps, motors, machine tools, cranes, hoists, conveyor systems, and other listed equipment.
• Perform minor repairs, including replacing light bulbs and filters, adding grease or oil, and repairing or replacing electrical cords and air or gas lines.
• Perform operational checks on equipment, except CNC equipment, welders, burning machines, and shot blasters unless knowledgeable about the specific equipment.
• Repair pneumatic-type tools.
• Assist other Maintenance Department classifications as needed.
• Perform snow plowing and snow removal using company-supplied equipment.
• Salt or de-ice parking lots and sidewalks as required.
• Perform facilities maintenance duties to cover vacations or other necessary absences.
