About The Position

Battlefield Equipment Rentals (a division of Toromont Industries Ltd.), one of Canada’s premiere Construction Rental Companies, has an immediate requirement for a Preventative Maintenance Technician Level 2 at our Stoney Creek location. Our busy, team-oriented shops place a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. The service department is an important area of our business, ensuring that our equipment is ready and available, as well as maintaining a flow of information on that equipment for both the rental staff and the sales staff.

Requirements

Previous experience in a related field, and knowledge of construction equipment and building products
A self-starter, with a keen sense of time-management and effective planning skills
Good communication and people skills
Forklift operation experience
Knowledge of construction equipment and mechanics

Nice To Haves

Technical aptitude and organization skills are preferred

Responsibilities

Complete cleaning, washing and routine maintenance of construction equipment
Complete quality assurance inspections on equipment
Testing and operation of construction equipment, including, but not limited to, assessment of damages
Perform annual inspections on select rental equipment
Perform preventative maintenance on construction equipment, including, but not limited to, maintaining and servicing rental equipment, making minor repairs and adjustments on equipment, oil and filter changes
Assist and guide Level 1 Preventative Maintenance Technicians
Complete required documentation and data entry
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work area, shop and branch
Load and unload customer rental equipment when required
Maintain a safe working environment
Assisting other technicians as needed
Follow all Health and Safety policies, while maintaining as safe work environment
Other duties as assigned
