About The Position
The position of HVAC Preventive Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance on commercial and /or residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position will ensure HVAC equipment operates efficiently, complies with manufacturer guidelines and avoids unexpected breakdowns through schedule inspections and services.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- HVAC certification (e.g. EPA 608 universal)
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, tools, and safety protocols.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of experience in HVAC maintenance or related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment including air handers, RTU’s chillers, boilers, VAV systems, and spilt systems.
- Inspect and replace filters, belts, and other, consumable as required.
- Clean cooling towers.
- Lubricate motors, bearing and other moving parts.
- Check system performance and functionality; report abnormalities or repair needs.
- Clean condenser and evaporator coils, drain lines, and pans.
- Monitor refrigerant levels and pressures, report anomalies.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and materials used.
- Performs all work in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, regulations and standards of safety and quality.
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members
- Assist with basic troubleshooting; escalate complex issues as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
