About The Position

Automated Mechanical is hiring an experienced HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician for their Utah operations. This is a full-time field role focused on maintaining commercial and industrial HVAC systems across a variety of building types. The technician will be responsible for completing scheduled maintenance and inspections, identifying and resolving electrical and mechanical issues, reading wiring diagrams and schematics, communicating with clients and team members, maintaining service records, and performing all work in compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in a commercial HVAC service role.
Solid understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability.
Effective communicator with solid customer service instincts.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.

Nice To Haves

HVAC technical training or certification
EPA 608 Universal Certification
NATE certification or equivalent.
Experience with digital service tools or mobile work order platforms.

Responsibilities

Complete scheduled maintenance and inspections to keep systems running efficiently and extend equipment life.
Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues across a range of HVAC platforms.
Read and work from wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
Keep clients and team members informed on service findings and recommended next steps.
Maintain thorough service records covering work completed, parts used, and system conditions.
Perform all work in compliance with safety standards, applicable codes, and company policy.
