About The Position

This role is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment across production and support areas. The mechanic will inspect equipment to identify wear, damage, or potential failure points and take corrective action, while strictly following and upholding all safety protocols, including LOTO procedures and hazard identification. The position involves executing maintenance tasks on mechanical systems such as drive components, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and supporting basic troubleshooting and repairs identified during preventative maintenance activities. The mechanic will also be responsible for reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals, maintaining accurate records of completed work, and assisting in updating maintenance procedures for continuous improvement. Collaboration with operations and maintenance teams is key to efficiently scheduling and completing PM activities, and identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices in an industrial environment.
  • Basic troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems (drives, pneumatics, hydraulics).
  • Understanding of electrical components and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to safety and safe work practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in industrial maintenance or preventative maintenance programs.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation.
  • Basic experience with PLCs and automated equipment preferred.
  • Technical training in mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical systems preferred.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours as needed to support maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities
