About The Position

Papillion Sanitation, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety-conscious Preventative Maintenance Mechanic to join their team at a new facility in Bellevue, Nebraska. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and eager to grow with the company. On-the-job training is provided to help mechanics advance their technical skills.

Requirements

Valid driver's license
Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
Class B CDL preferred or ability to obtain in the future.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services.
Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
Utilize vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
