About The Position

The Preventative Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment within production and support areas. This role involves inspecting equipment for wear, damage, or potential failure points and implementing corrective actions. The mechanic must strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including LOTO procedures and hazard identification. Key duties include executing maintenance tasks on various mechanical systems such as drive components, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and providing support for basic troubleshooting and repairs identified during preventative maintenance activities. The position requires the ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals, maintain accurate records of completed work, and assist in updating maintenance procedures for continuous improvement. Collaboration with operations and maintenance teams is essential to efficiently schedule and complete PM activities and identify opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices in an industrial environment.
  • Basic troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems (drives, pneumatics, hydraulics).
  • Understanding of electrical components and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
