About The Position

Woodward is seeking a Preventative Machine Technician to support the basic maintenance of manufacturing production equipment. This position is located at our Loves Park Campus and is on 2nd Shift (Monday – Friday, 1:30pm – 10:00pm). This role is ideal for a motivated technician who enjoys hands-on fluid systems work and contributing to the reliability of advanced aerospace manufacturing. Requirements

  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of basic machinery and equipment used in machine repair.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Ability to identify and diagnose simple mechanical issues using standard procedures.
  • Manual Dexterity: Proficient in using hand tools and operating machinery with precision.
  • Safety Compliance: Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensures repair work meets established quality standards and specifications.
  • Instruction Following: Accurately follows detailed repair instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Basic Electrical Knowledge: Familiarity with basic electrical components and circuits commonly found in machinery.
  • Time Management: Efficiently manages time to complete routine repair tasks within designated timeframes.
  • Communication Skills: Communicates effectively with team members to relay technical information and updates
  • Troubleshooting: Performs straightforward troubleshooting tasks to resolve minor machine malfunctions.
  • Knowledge of industrial manufacturing machinery
  • Experience with performing preventative maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment

Responsibilities

  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and execute preventative maintenance on machinery following standard operating procedures.
  • Diagnose Basic Issues: Identify and troubleshoot straightforward machine malfunctions using established guidelines and diagnostic tools.
  • Execute Repairs: Carry out necessary repairs on equipment under close supervision, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Document Maintenance Activities: Accurately record all maintenance and repair tasks in maintenance logs and reports.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Communicate technical information and work effectively with team members to ensure optimal machine performance.
