About The Position

Wieland is hiring a Pressure Vessel Welder Level I, II, III. The Pressure Vessel Welder will be responsible for working from shop drawing, procedures or other written, verbal, or electronic instruction, perform a wide variety of operations associated with welded assembly of final product, sub-assemblies and components for products which includes adherence to ASME Code Safety Regulations. This role is located in Delaware, OH and will be fully on-site. Starting Pay: $28.23/hr., with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications. Schedule: 2nd shift Monday - Thursday |4:00pm - 2:30am. Training will be on 1st Shift (2-4 weeks) Monday – Thursday |6:00am-4:30pm. Pay Schedule: Biweekly.

Requirements

• At least 1-3 year(s) experience or commensurate education from trade school (Level I).
• Capable of MIG and TIG welding of parts and pipe, but not yet certified with the company for welding of parts under pressure (Level I).
• Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings (Level I, II, III).
• Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork (Level I, II, III).
• Methodical, organized, and precise (Level I, II, III).
• Proactive in proposing solutions (Level I, II, III).
• At least 3+ years' experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels (Level II).
• Experience and certification in welding in accordance to ASME standard – certified with the company for welding of parts under pressure (Level II).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues related to fitting and welding components (Level II).
• At least 5+ years’ experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels (certified experience) (Level III).
• Experience and certification in welding in accordance to ASME standard (Level III).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fitting and welding components (Level III).
• Ability to teach others to apply WPS, read drawings (Level III).

Responsibilities

• Follow the production orders, prepare parts and weld components into assemblies.
• Execute welds in accordance with company`s procedures and documents, while meeting defined quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
• Properly maintain tools and equipment assigned to perform duties.
• Identify and implement safety improvements.
