About The Position

Carlton Staffing is hiring an experienced Pressure Vessel Welder / Fitter (TIG) for a client in Southeast Houston. The role involves TIG welding and fitting pipe, flanges, and pressure vessel components while following welding procedures and ASME code requirements. The work is temp-to-hire and pays $27–$35 per hour, depending on experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM. Candidates must pass a 6G pipe weld test before receiving an offer; the client pays for the first test, while the candidate pays for a second attempt.

Requirements

• Two or more years of pressure vessel, piping, or code fabrication experience preferred.
• Strong TIG welding, pipe fitting, and blueprint-reading skills.
• Knowledge of carbon steel, stainless steel, and ASME welding standards.
• Must pass a 6G pipe weld test before an offer. The client pays for the first test; the candidate pays for a second attempt.
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds and work in various welding positions.

Responsibilities

• TIG weld and fit pipe, flanges, and pressure vessel components.
• Read blueprints and follow welding procedures and ASME code requirements.
• Inspect welds and maintain accurate documentation.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area.
