About The Position

Wieland is hiring Pressure Vessel Welders Level I, II, III. The Pressure Vessel Welder will be responsible for working from shop drawings, procedures, or other written, verbal, or electronic instructions to perform a wide variety of operations associated with welded assembly of final product, sub-assemblies, and components for products, which includes adherence to ASME Code Safety Regulations. This role is located in Delaware, OH and will be fully on-site. The starting pay is $27.23/hr., with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications. The schedule is 2nd shift, Monday - Thursday, 4:00pm - 2:30am. Training will be on 1st Shift (up to 4 weeks), Monday – Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm. Pay is distributed bi-weekly.

Requirements

  • Pressure Vessel Welder-Level I: At least 1-3 year(s) experience or commensurate education from trade school.
  • Capable of MIG and TIG welding of parts and pipe, but not yet certified with the company for welding of parts under pressure.
  • Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings.
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
  • Methodical, organized, and precise.
  • Proactive in proposing solutions.
  • Pressure Vessel Welder-Level II: At least 3+ years' experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels.
  • Experience and certification in welding in accordance to ASME standard – certified with the company for welding of parts under pressure.
  • Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues related to fitting and welding components.
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
  • Methodical, organized, and precise.
  • Proactive in proposing solutions.
  • Pressure Vessel Welder-Level III: At least 5+ years’ experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels (certified experience).
  • Experience and certification in welding in accordance to ASME standard.
  • Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings, and teach others to do so.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fitting and welding components.
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
  • Methodical, organized, and precise.
  • Proactive in proposing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Follow production orders, prepare parts and weld components into assemblies.
  • Execute welds in accordance with company's procedures and documents, while meeting defined quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
  • Properly maintain tools and equipment assigned to perform duties.
  • Identify and implement safety improvements.
