About The Position

Wieland is a global leader in copper and copper alloy manufacturing, processing, and distribution. We provide a large product and service portfolio including power, automotive, ammunition, coinage, construction materials, refrigeration, electronics and many other industries. The Pressure Vessel Welder will be responsible for working from shop drawing, procedures or other written, verbal, or electronic instruction, perform a wide variety of operations associated with welded assembly of final product, sub-assemblies and components for products which includes adherence to ASME Code Safety Regulations. This role is located in Delaware, OH and will be fully on-site. Starting Pay: $27.23/hr., with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications. Schedule: 2nd shift Monday - Thursday |4:00pm - 2:30am Training will be on 1st Shift (up to 4 weeks) Monday – Thursday | 6:00am-4:30pm Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Requirements

  • At least 1-3 year(s) experience or commensurate education from trade school.
  • Capable of MIG and TIG welding of parts and pipe, but not yet certified with the company for welding of parts under pressure.
  • Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings.
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
  • Methodical, organized, and precise.
  • Proactive in proposing solutions.
  • At least 3+ years' experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels.
  • Experience and certification in welding in accordance to ASME standard – certified with the company for welding of parts under pressure.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues related to fitting and welding components .
  • At least 5+ years’ experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels (certified experience).
  • Experience and certification in welding in accordance to ASME standard.
  • Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings, and teach others to do so.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fitting and welding components.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the production orders, prepare parts and weld components into assemblies.
  • Execute welds in accordance with company`s procedures and documents, while meeting defined quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
  • Properly maintain tools and equipment assigned to perform duties.
  • Identify and implement safety improvements.
