About The Position

This role involves preparing Clemco pressure vessels for customer use by rotating through various plant areas such as blasting, pot preparation, and the hydro room. The builder will attach valves and other external parts, ensuring adherence to required tolerances and assembly instructions. The position also includes applying labels, branding, and logos, and may involve working in a large, enclosed blast room. Safety is paramount, and the company provides personal protective equipment. The builder is expected to take pride in their work, meet customer delivery times, and utilize various tools and equipment. There are opportunities for learning and growth, including gaining knowledge of other departments and assisting with equipment dismantling for shipping. Continuous quality improvement and participation in LEAN activities are encouraged, along with demonstrating flexibility in taking on new tasks.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Must be able to read and apply electrical schematics, mechanical and/or electrical drawings and ladder diagrams within 60 days of hire
  • Experience in operating a forklift and overhead crane may be helpful in some areas

Responsibilities

  • Uses drawings and work instructions to help prepare Clemco pressure vessels for customer use
  • Rotates in several areas of the plant (blasting, pot prep, hydro room and other areas) to ready pressure vessels and other products to be delivered to end users
  • Attaches valves and other external parts of the pots using work instructions, videos and drawings to guide assembly
  • Pays close attention to required tolerances and direction of external parts
  • Applies labels, branding and logos to equipment
  • Sometimes works in large, enclosed blast room
  • Takes pride in the quality of their work, our products and their ability to meet customer promised delivery times
  • Uses machine tools, hand tools, multimeters, tow motor, overhead crane and sometimes forklifts
  • Collaborates with others
  • May assist with dismantling equipment after it has been tested to assist in the shipping process when necessary
  • Proactively works to gain knowledge of other departments, troubleshooting standards or project equipment from drawings or sketches with the mentoring and guidance of more senior or highly skilled technicians
  • Seeks out and implements continuous quality improvements
  • Actively participates in LEAN activities such as PDCA, A-3, and Root Cause Analysis activities
  • Demonstrates flexibility when asked to take on new things
