About The Position

Veritiv is a leading full-service provider of packaging solutions, also offering JanSan, hygiene, print, and publishing products and services. This role is for a Pressperson - Lithographic Sheetfed who will be responsible for making ready and operating a press, ensuring jobs are produced to customer specifications and meeting deadlines. The position involves training team members, verifying stock and inks, performing press and folder setups, maintaining register and color, and adhering to all safety policies. The role also includes performing routine maintenance on the press and coordinating work schedules within the department.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 to 4 years experience as a Press Feeder
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure
• Ability to work independently as well as with a crew/team
• 5-10 years of related job experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma/GED Preferred

Responsibilities

• Train team members on press operations to ensure safety and productivity.
• Make-ready and operate press based on written instructions.
• Ensure jobs meet customer specifications and deadlines.
• Verify stock and inks match job specifications.
• Ensure crew members understand job details.
• Read and understand job tickets for stock and color specifications.
• Perform press make ready and folder set ups.
• Maintain press register and color.
• Perform quality pull sheet procedures.
• Ensure samples are pulled and labeled according to SOPs.
• Follow all safety policies and report hazards, near misses, or accidents.
• Perform routine maintenance on the press.
• Coordinate work schedules with team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
