About The Position

Veritiv is a leading full-service provider of packaging solutions, also offering JanSan, hygiene, print, and publishing products and services. This role involves operating and maintaining lithographic sheetfed presses to ensure high-quality production that meets customer specifications and deadlines. The Pressperson will work closely with the plant manager and team members to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 to 4 years experience as a Press Feeder
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure
• Ability to work independently as well as with a crew/team
• 5-10 years of related job experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently

• High School Diploma/GED Preferred

Responsibilities

• Train press team members on essential functions, safety guidelines, and productive performance.
• Make-ready and operate the press according to written instructions.
• Ensure jobs are produced to customer specifications and meet deadlines.
• Verify stock and inks match job specifications.
• Ensure all crew members understand job details.
• Read and understand job tickets for stock and color specifications.
• Perform press make-ready, folder set-ups, and maintain press register and color.
• Perform quality pull sheet procedures according to press SOPs.
• Ensure samples are pulled and labeled according to press SOP.
• Follow all safety policies and regulations and report hazards, near misses, or accidents.
• Perform routine maintenance on the press and ensure equipment is properly maintained with team members.
• Coordinate work schedules in the department with other team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
