The objective of this role is to implement, supervise, and manage press operations to ensure alignment of policies, training, responsibilities, forecasting, processes, and on-time delivery at the lowest cost through continuous improvement, while meeting plant and corporation objectives and financial performance. This role will oversee all press operations in the facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required (Engineering, BA, Organizational Leadership)
  • 5 to 8 Years of experience at Press Area as Salary
  • 3 to 5 years of Experience as Press Operations Manager
  • Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point)
  • Technical knowledge of Procedures, Products, Planning, Quality, Safety and Processes
  • Product knowledge with component identification

  • Participation in a significant role on the MOS, either deploying practice, training in a tool or methodology, leading problem solving or other applied leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce and direct subordinates to follow all safety procedures to achieve plant goal of zero accidents.
  • Implement and supervise manufacturing policies and training that facilitate the highest quality product with on time delivery at the lowest cost through continuous improvement activities.
  • Oversee daily/monthly production activities, responsible for achieving production targets and reporting issues to area manager which requires adjustments in manpower, processes, responsibilities and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist area manager in the development of the annual profit plan which involves defining departmental budgets, forecasting, direct labor, identifying equipment requirements, establishes quality goals and outlining continuous improvement programs.
  • Provide input and support to new product plans/programs.
  • Assist area manager to enhance the business objectives and financial performances of the Plant, Division and Corporation.
  • Additional responsibilities as required – this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change.
