About The Position

Press Utility Operator (formerly All Positions) provides day-to-day assistance to Supervisor/Management in meeting production and quality requirements. Rotates job stations in the Press department and can effectively and accurately perform all roles within Press Levels 3 and 4. Understands proper pressing and palletizing procedures. Responsible for understanding Daily’s GMP’s and safety policies.

Requirements

Previous pallet jack experience preferred
Must consistently follow company rules and procedures and ensure consistency with product specifications
Must have superior attendance record
Ability to speak, read, and basic English to interact with equipment screens, complete reports, and communicate via radio.
Basic math skills including ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Capability of working with and calculating percentages
Able to adhere to specifications

Responsibilities

Equipment set up, Pre-Operational Checklist, select programs, tear down, and adjust settings as needed.
Understand bacon specification requirements to ensure quality
Work at a pace consistent with line speeds
Keep accurate records as needed
Maintain accurate counts
Minimize scrap at all times
Maintains machines at centerline settings and completes all CIL (clean, inspect, and lube) tasks.
Follows procedures outlined by Department Supervisor/Department Lead
Follows Daily’s attendance and punctuality rules
Follows Daily’s Good Manufacturing Processes
Follows Daily’s Safety Guidelines as outlined in Safety Handbook
Effectively and accurately performs all duties within Press Levels 3 and 4
May rotate job stations within Press department
May be required to assist in other areas based on business need
Perform other related responsibilities, as needed, to support Daily’s business objectives
