About The Position

The producing-level Mold Operator associate works under minimal supervision to operate injection molding machines and secondary equipment according to established procedures. The role produces and processes parts for assembly, inspects and prepares products, and maintains a clean and organized work area. The position works in a shop environment during an 8-hour second shift, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience operating equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Developed visual and mechanical skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and work with small parts.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Reliable, positive attitude, and flexible approach.
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, stepping onto a 10-inch platform, bending and reaching throughout the shift; lifting up to 30 pounds; maneuvering boxes weighing up to 100 pounds from a skid to a dolly; and pushing and pulling a dolly carrying up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate presses and produce parts according to procedures and standards, including inspecting, trimming, coding, and packaging parts.
• Process parts for assembly by operating a sonic welder, bonding parts with adhesives, and coding and packaging them.
• Follow established job instructions to produce products to specification.
• Assess part quality, detect and report defective material, and record scrap.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas by carrying out and improving defined 6S duties.
• Undertake other duties within the scope and general level of responsibility of the role.
