Press Operator 3rd shift
About The Position
Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking an experienced full-time Press Operator for our Cherryville, NC, location. This person will report to the Production Supervisor. The role involves operating primary operations equipment, specifically Molding, and ensuring efficient and safe operation with satisfactory adjustments for product quality. The operator must follow all applicable procedures, legibly record and maintain product/process information, and effectively use measuring equipment to ensure control conditions. Communication with co-workers, supervisors, and other functional areas is essential, as is reliable and consistent attendance. The position also involves assisting in procedure writing/revision, participating in training, and performing other requested tasks.
Requirements
- Able to read and understand procedures, process sheets, etc.
- Able to do basic math calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
- Understand decimals, Fractions, percentages, averages, etc.
- Able to write legible sentences.
- Operate and adjust equipment properly.
- Properly use measuring equipment and accurately interpret results.
- Understand and apply SPC fundamentals.
- Demonstrate satisfactory relational skills with regard to communications, cooperative associations, and participation in continuous improvement.
- Thorough knowledge of all applicable process documentation.
- Exhibit positive team behaviors.
- Reliable, consistent attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position.

- Provide assistance in writing new or revising old procedures.
- Participate in the training of others and aid in their appraisal.
- Perform other tasks as requested.
