About The Position

The Press Operator operates and maintains a hydraulic or mechanical press to shape, form, or cut metal and other materials according to specifications. The role is based in Springfield, Tennessee, and requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety standards. The operator works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods, follows written instructions, completes necessary documentation, and communicates information accurately and promptly. The position is titled for a weekend shift running 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of manufacturing production experience.
• Active driver’s license.
• Able to bend, stoop, grip, and reach, and lift up to 40 lbs. repetitively.
• Able to read and write English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
• Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Pass Lock out/Tag out requirements.
• Set up and operate press machines according to production specifications and work orders.
• Work within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
• Receive verbal and written information.
• Complete necessary documentation and communicate accurately and promptly.
• Understand written instructions and communicate those instructions to others.
• Operate and maintain a hydraulic or mechanical press to shape, form, or cut materials according to specifications.
