About The Position
Ascend Staffing is hiring immediately for a Press Operator in Farmersville, TX for the night shift. This role involves operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal components. The ideal candidate will have press operator experience, the ability to read blueprints, strong math skills, and mechanical aptitude. We offer weekly pay of $18.00 or more, direct deposit, and benefits such as health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance.
Requirements
- Press Operator experience required
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Able to pass a background check
- Able to work in the US
- Ability to read blueprints and understand bend charts and tolerances
- Basic CNC knowledge or willingness to learn CNC programming
- Strong math skills, including fractions, decimals, and basic geometry
- Experience using measuring and inspection tools
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
- Select and install appropriate dies, tooling, and back gauges
- Program CNC press brakes or input bend sequences and specifications
- Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy and meet tolerances
