About The Position
Quad is hiring experienced Machine Operators in Hartford, WI, offering a pay range of $18–$23+/hr based on experience. This role involves operating high-speed manufacturing equipment, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and performing basic maintenance. While print experience is not required, experience in various manufacturing environments such as packaging, food and beverage, plastics, automotive, metals, CNC, converting, or corrugated is transferable. The company is looking for self-starters who are quick learners, problem-solvers, and eager to advance within the company. Quad will provide training on print-specific operations.
Requirements
- Previous machine operator or production equipment experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Motivation to learn, improve, and take on more responsibility
- Strong attention to safety and quality
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand English to follow safety procedures, job instructions, and production documentation
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and rotate between days and nights every 4 months
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 10–15 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally

- Experience with Harris, Heidelberg, Goss, Manroland, or similar web offset presses

- Set up and operate high-speed manufacturing equipment
- Monitor equipment and make adjustments for quality and productivity
- Troubleshoot mechanical and production issues
- Perform make-ready, basic maintenance, and quality checks
- Learn new equipment and processes as your skills grow
