About The Position

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Press Operator on the 2nd shift. This role involves maintaining a clean work area, operating machinery, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. If you enjoy working with your hands and are looking for a stable position with a background-friendly employer, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. The schedule is Monday - Thursday from 4:00 PM to 3:00 AM, with potential for overtime on Fridays.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must be able to do some heavy lifting (25 to 50 lbs).
• Must be able to work in a hot/cold environment.
• Must be able to sit/stand and do repetitive motions for their entire shift.
• Must be able to bend and twist throughout the day.
• Must be able to work some overtime if needed.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Must be able to operate a machine in a safe manner and adhere to all guidelines and PPE requirements at all times.
• Must be able to follow simple basic instructions.
• Good hand and eye coordination.
• Excellent attendance (ability to arrive to work on time, as scheduled on a daily basis).
• Attention to detail and SAFETY a must.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer knowledge of press machines.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Starts machines, monitors their operations, and records operational data.
• Sets up, operates, or tends machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material.
