This role assists press operators by performing quality checks, 5s, and material handling duties. The primary responsibilities include loading steel, staging steel, dumping scrap hoppers, printing labels, using gauges for quality control, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, labeling and moving product, entering data into Measurlink, and adhering to all company rules and work processes. The position also involves 5s responsibilities, holding oneself accountable for a safe working environment, performing tasks safely in a fast-paced setting, contributing to continuous improvement, and potentially undertaking other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with operating a forklift
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Great organizational and time management abilities.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Effectively communicate in a professional demeanor when dealing with the public or any level of employees.
  • Ability to safely work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently
  • Ability to work overtime

  • Label, scan, and move product per specifications
  • Enters data into Measurlink
  • Follow all rules, regulations and work processes set forth by the company
  • Hold self-accountable to create and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Competently perform all tasks with a focus on safety within a fast-paced environment.
  • Contributes to team effort by focusing on continuous improvement and success for the entire team.
  • From time to time, personnel may be assigned other duties for the purpose of training, additional assistance or for other reasons as needed necessary by management.
