About The Position

The Press Operator operates a press in accordance with company procedures, pharmaceutical procedures, safety procedures, and applicable training. The role also involves operating assigned presses or equipment in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Quality Control requirements, and Safety Standard Operating Procedures. The operator communicates with press operators on other shifts to ensure continuity of current press orders and coordinate upcoming orders.

The position reports to the Production Supervisor and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively and present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers and other employees.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including lifting approximately 50–80 lbs and using pressroom equipment and tools.
