This role involves working from blueprints, route sheets, and written instructions to produce high-quality components, demonstrating strong attention to detail in every step of the process. The operator will set up and run hydraulic and mechanical presses ranging from 150 tons to 1,200 tons, ensuring safe and precise operation. The position also includes performing rubber-to-metal stamping, working with various materials, performing set-ups and in-process inspections, maintaining set-ups with minor adjustments, and verifying product quality using quantitative charting methods and precision measuring tools.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or quality preferred, but not necessary - we'll train you!
  • Access to facilities restricted under ITAR and/or EAR requires being a U.S. Person or properly licensed foreign person.
  • Ability to provide information to determine subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and country of chargeability.
  • Names will be screened against the Consolidated Screening List.

Nice To Haves

  • Rubber-to-metal stamping experience preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Work from blueprints, route sheets, and written instructions to produce high-quality components.
  • Set up and run hydraulic and mechanical presses ranging from 150 tons to 1,200 tons.
  • Perform rubber-to-metal stamping.
  • Work with various materials, including Inconel (Inco), AM350, and titanium strip stock with thicknesses ranging from .001" to .008".
  • Perform set-ups (or request assistance for complex set-ups).
  • Conduct in-process inspections per ES Specifications to ensure all parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Maintain set-ups and make minor adjustments as needed, escalating unusual issues to the supervisor.
  • Verify product quality using quantitative charting methods such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and a range of precision measuring tools, including contour readers and non-contact measuring systems.
  • Use basic computer skills to perform labor transactions and other required system functions.
