Under the direction of the supervisor either directly or through the lead person, this individual is responsible for operating a hydraulic, mechanical or dial press to produce bearing components at proper production and quality levels. General responsibilities include performing a variety of press operations such as bearing assemblies, loosening, stamping, compression, installing shields, checking for spins or cracks in races, snap rings, expanding bearings as well as bench operations such as burring, sorting, inspecting, and filling in on any job in the department as required. This individual must be able to use measuring devices such as micrometers, verniers, and radial play gages. Other responsibilities include maintaining accurate production counts, cleaning bearings and machine along with reporting any discrepancies to the lead person or supervisor. Additional duties include keeping the workplace clean & safe, movement of materials being worked on and performing any other reasonable duties as assigned by the lead person or supervisor.
