About The Position

Taylor Corporation is looking for a Press / Print Operating Technician to join our team in Duluth, GA. This is a full-time position with a shift from Monday - Thursday, 2pm - 12:30am. Requirements

  • Mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to read a ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization
  • Ability to operate equipment and obtain proficiency as measured through production and quality standards
  • Ability to understand verbal and written work instructions
  • Ability to communicate professionally
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
  • Constantly required to operate machinery and handle products, including print materials
  • Frequently required to move throughout the facility
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 25+ pounds
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out detailed instructions from job orders accurately and precisely.
  • Identify possible errors or problems and take prompt action to correct them.
  • Set up and adjust press equipment for job runs to meet specifications.
  • Monitor product quality during job runs.
  • Check detail against specifications and take action to correct any issues.
  • Monitor equipment during job runs.
  • Remain alert to mechanical problems and refer issues to maintenance as needed.
  • Initiate the startup and running of jobs in keeping with the production schedule.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep.
  • Meet standards for output, waste, and spoilage.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and keep the workspace clean and organized for efficient shift changeovers.
  • Complete related logs and paperwork accurately.
