About The Position

Precision Press, a division of Taylor Corporation, is seeking a Press / Print Operating Technician in North Mankato, Minnesota. The role operates and monitors printing press equipment, sets up and adjusts presses to meet job specifications, and maintains product quality and production standards. The technician follows job orders and production schedules, addresses errors and equipment issues, performs routine upkeep, and maintains a clean and safe workspace. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

Mechanical and technical skills or aptitude.
Basic math skills to read a ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization.
Ability to operate equipment to achieve production and quality standards.
Ability to understand verbal and written work-order instructions.
Professional communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas.
Ability to remain stationary regularly and operate machinery and handle print materials constantly.
Ability to move around inside the facility frequently.
Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, or carry 25+ pounds.
Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Accurately carry out detailed instructions from job orders.
Identify possible errors or problems and take prompt corrective action.
Set up and adjust the press for job runs to meet specifications.
Monitor product quality during job runs and check details against specifications.
Monitor equipment for mechanical problems and refer issues to maintenance as necessary.
Initiate and run jobs according to the production schedule.
Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep.
Meet standards for output, waste, and spoilage.
Follow safety guidelines and keep the workspace clean and organized for shift changeovers.
Accurately complete related logs and paperwork.
