About The Position

This role is responsible for operating various equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and shipping quality products to customers. The position involves running sheet fed, digital presses, bindery equipment, other processing equipment, and shipping/packing. Associates must follow standard operating procedures and processes to ensure order quality while working in a team environment to achieve daily goals. The role primarily involves running standard work and may include basic manual numbering, automated or basic setups, and changeovers.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Basic math, reading and computer skills.
Mechanical ability to operate and maintain press.

Nice To Haves

HS/GED with 1 year printing experience with similar equipment.
Familiar with product, equipment, printing process, and ink usage.

Responsibilities

Performs set-up of press including identifying and loading correct stock, setting correct paper path and stretch, mounting plates, die registration, making appropriate adjustments to the ink and water levels, assuring accurate single-color register and setting up any attribute functions, e.g. perforations, number, file holes, thermo unit, etc.
Determines and understands all order instructions and runs the press productively while meeting job requirements of ink density, ink and water balance, color matching, and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Troubleshoots mechanical breakdowns and demonstrates the ability to make adjustments to the equipment including blanket changes, wash up units, cleaning water system and roller settings as required.
Performs daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance and cleaning to ensure a quality product to the customer as required.
Understands all press controls and demonstrates their use.
