About The Position

The Press Operator / Inspector is responsible for operating production presses to manufacture parts according to established specifications, quality standards, and production requirements. This position involves inspecting finished parts for defects, monitoring machine performance, maintaining a safe and clean work area, and ensuring all products meet customer and company quality standards.

Requirements

Ability to recognize visual defects and follow detailed work instructions.
Basic math skills and the ability to read measurements.
Ability to use basic inspection tools and measuring instruments.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn new processes.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous manufacturing, press operation, or quality inspection experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate production presses safely and efficiently according to work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Load and unload materials or components into press machines as required.
Inspect parts during and after production for defects, damage, proper dimensions, and overall quality.
Use inspection tools, gauges, and measuring equipment as required.
Identify, separate, and report defective or nonconforming parts.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections according to quality requirements.
Monitor press operation and report machine malfunctions or production issues to the supervisor.
Complete production records, inspection sheets, and other required documentation accurately.
Maintain production rates while meeting quality and safety standards.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper machine guarding and lockout/tagout requirements when applicable.
Keep the workstation, equipment, and surrounding area clean and organized.
Follow company policies, quality procedures, and instructions from supervisors.
Assist with material handling, packaging, and other production duties as assigned.
